So you've noticed we use NVMe disk space? This is for the below reasons.

The main benefit of NVMe disk space rather than generic SSD disk space is there much faster read/write speeds. A conventional SSD will be at least 10x slower than that of an NVMe.
They're far more efficient than your average SSD, allowing for smoother and faster load times. This is thanks to the amazing latency that they offer.

An NVMe is housed in the PCIe slot of a servers motherboard. This contributes to a lot of the benefits you see above.

This is all great, but what does it mean for me?

Well, this means much faster load times when visiting your website, and a faster transfer of files. These all in turn make NVMe's great.
